Al Qaeada Wants Bush and Republicans Humiliated in This Election

Reuters reports that a top al Qaeda leader has publically come out in support of anybody running against the Republicans:

"DUBAI (Reuters) - An al Qaeda leader has called for President George W. Bush and the Republicans to be "humiliated," without endorsing any party in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, according to a video posted on the Internet.

"O God, humiliate Bush and his party, O Lord of the Worlds, degrade and defy him," Abu Yahya al-Libi said at the end of sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, in a video posted on the Internet.

Libi, one of the top al Qaeda commanders believed to be living in Afghanistan or Pakistan, called for God's wrath to be brought against Bush equating him with past tyrants in history."

Now it is very tempting for me to say that al Qaeda is supporting Obama and the Democrats, but actually I won't.

Instead I'll say that son of a gun needs to wise up and see the real picture. Here in America we elect our leaders.

We fight with each other like the dickens, and there are some shenanigans from both sides, but it is our own that decide who will be our leader.

As I have said before, some of our leaders might be crooks, but at least they are the crooks that we elected.

Pirates Aren't Pirates - They're Green Conservationists!

As reported on this blog earlier, pirates have seized a Ukrainian cargo ship that has T-34 Russian tanks and other munitions aboard, off the coast of Somalia, and have demanded a $30 million dollar ransom to hand it back.

I thought they were bad guys but Pirate spokesman (what??? Pirates have spokesmen now???) Sugule Ali said in a 45 minute interview that they weren't really bad guys, they just wanted money and that they were saving the marine environment off the Somalian coast. As the New York Times reported:

"[I]n the eyes of the world, the pirates had been misunderstood. We don’t consider ourselves sea bandits,” he said. “We consider sea bandits those who illegally fish in our seas and dump waste in our seas and carry weapons in our seas. We are simply patrolling our seas. Think of us like a coast guard.”

Like a coast guard??

Green pirates protecting against illegal fishing and waste dumping - with spokesmen?

I wonder if they will get a shoe deal soon.

American Embassy in Yemen Attacked by Terrorist; Bomb and Machine Gun Fire Kill 4

Terrorists, most likely Al-Queda, set off a bomb outside the American Embassy in Yemen, a tiny country on the south of the peninsula which is mostly occupied by Saudi Arabia. That attack killed 4, but it does not appear Americans were injured.

Yemen is where the USS Cole was attacked several years ago.

The attack occurred about 9:15 am local time, which was 1:15 am Washington time.

As the Hillary ad once said: "Who do you want answering the phone at 3 am?"
