MSNBC Up in Flames?

Many people have accused NBC and MSNBC of being far to the left. McCain's campaign even sent NBC a letter complaining of them reporting an unsubstantiated rumor that McCain had the questions beforehand when he and Obama did a townhall debate at Saddleback Church in Southern California because McCain did so well.

Then there have been many complaints about former sports reporter Keith Olbermann turned liberal commentator's antics during the Democratic Convention.

And when Sarah Palin scolded "the media" during her VP acceptance speech, the convention chanted "NBC, NBC"

Now it appears that NBC Universal, the parent company of MSNBC has had enough. Drudge Report reports that after finishing dead last amongst broadcast and cable networks for their coverage of the conventions, anchors Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews have been demoted to commentators again. And a NBC commentator David Gregory will become the nightly news anchor during the election.

The New York Times has the full story here.
